The South Interlake Seniors Resource Council, Inc., invites applications for the position of the Support to Seniors in Group Living Coordinator. The SISRC is located in the Lions Manor, Stonewall, MB. The resource council offers programs and services for seniors, and those with disabilities, to help them remain independent, safe and comfortable in their own home and communities.

The SISRC is seeking applications for the following position:
Support to Seniors in Group Living (SSGL) Coordinator – 0.6 EFT – $16.50 – $18.50/hour depending on education and experience.
This position will work collaboratively with the administrative staff to support health promotion and independence by providing a range of services to seniors in group living in the community, to assist them with accomplishing instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, administrative organizational, problem solving, written and verbal communications, demonstrated experience in working with older adults, ability to work independently and as an integral part of the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or GED
• Ability to assess individual clients’ needs
• Proficient with computers and office suite applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License and valid registration. Be insured for a minimum 3rd party liability limit of one million dollars ($1,000,000) and registered according to their use as required by Manitoba Public Insurance
• Successful applicant must submit to a Criminal Records Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check
