Get Involved
The SISRC is powered by the generous support of our community.
Volunteer
Programs offered through SISRC are run by volunteers who selflessly donate their time and services to our clientele. The SISRC requires volunteers to complete a criminal record check.
Learn more about criminal record checks here: Province of Manitoba | fs – Adult Abuse Registry (gov.mb.ca)
We are always looking for volunteers to assist us with the driving/escort program, friendly visiting, Telechek, Lifeline installations, house repairs, yard work, and much more!
Students welcome to apply, and can use the volunteer hours towards their school credit.
You can come into the office to sign up as a volunteer, print the volunteer form (below) or scroll down to fill out the volunteer form online.

Are you looking for an opportunity to help support seniors and those with disabilities stay independent in their homes and community?
If yes, consider joining the South Interlake Seniors Resource Council Inc. (SISRC)
Our purpose is to assist senior and disabled persons who reside in Stonewall, Stony Mountain, Rosser, Rockwood and Woodlands to continue living independently and with dignity in their own homes and communities as long as possible. A variety of services such as driver/escort, housekeeping, friendly visits, equipment lending, meals on wheels, form assistance and resource information are available with the help of volunteers and fee for service workers.
We are currently recruiting additional members to the Board of Directors.
Please contact the SISRC office at (204) 467-2719 for any additional information.
Donate
The Interlake Eastern Regional Health Authority, through Manitoba Health, provides funding on an annual basis to hire staff to coordinate services provided by the SISRC. Additional funds, used to help cover operational expenses, are gratefully received from the Town of Stonewall and the R.M.’s of Rosser, Woodlands, and Rockwood. The financial support from local foundations and some fundraising help cover additional costs.
We look to the community for donations to help cover any extra costs in order to keep the services we provide to the South Interlake growing.
Tax receipts are issued for any monetary donations which are gratefully accepted.
